Your Experience

2013-10-17_0004

Your portrait session is a thoughtfully crafted experience from beginning to end, not just a photo shoot, but a moment to step into how you want to be seen and remembered.

We begin with a consultation where we imagine your ideal session together. We talk about your vision, location, wardrobe, and any meaningful props you would like to include. This conversation shapes a session that feels personal to you — reflecting both who you are today and who you are becoming.

Your time in the studio will vary depending on the type of session, the styling we create together, and whether you choose to include professional hair and makeup. However long your session lasts, I hope that you feel cared for, confident, and free to relax into your own presence.

You will have your image reveal the same day, where you will view your photographs and select the images and artwork you wish to keep.

Preparing for Your Session

To make the most of your experience, here are a few simple steps to help you feel ready and confident.

1 — Gather inspiration
Look through magazines or Pinterest and save images you love. Share these with me so I can better understand your style, mood, and vision.

2 — Personal grooming
Make sure your hair, manicure, pedicure, and eyebrows are fresh and well-groomed so you feel polished and comfortable in front of the camera.

3 — Hydrate
Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your session. Staying hydrated helps your skin look healthy and radiant.

4 — Rest well
Get a good night’s sleep before your session so you arrive feeling calm and energized.

5 — Skip the spray tan
Please do not get a spray tan. Even subtle tans can photograph unevenly and affect your final images.

6 — Arrive on time
Please plan to arrive at or slightly before your scheduled appointment. Late arrival will reduce your session time.

7 — Hair, makeup, and clothing
If you are having hair and makeup done in the studio, arrive with a clean face and hair. Wear loose clothing to avoid marks on your skin.

8 — Wardrobe & styling
Bring at least five outfits, along with any jewelry, shoes, or meaningful props you’d like to include. Think through your look from head to toe — accessories matter.

Together, we will coordinate your wardrobe with my studio sets and props to create images that feel cohesive, intentional, and beautiful.

A final note

This experience is designed to help you slow down, feel present, and see yourself with new clarity. My goal is that you leave not only with beautiful photographs, but with a deeper sense of how you want to show up in your life.
