Telling the Story of Everyday Life
Your lifestyle session is a story of your real life, unscripted, gentle, and true.
Rather than posing or performing, we simply spend time together in the spaces where your life naturally unfolds. These are the moments that matter most: baking cookies with your children, sitting around the table, laughing in the backyard, or moving quietly through your day.
My role is to witness, notice, and hold space for those small, meaningful moments that so often pass unnoticed.
The Story Begins with a Conversation
We begin with a conversation, the first chapter of your story.
You share who you want to be photographed, where you feel most at home, and what you want your images to remember. Together, we consider location, wardrobe, and mood so your session reflects both your everyday life and the feeling you want your photographs to carry.
Your time together can be as brief as thirty minutes or as long as an all-day experience. Many families choose to spend one to two hours, allowing the story to unfold naturally without rushing.
However long your session lasts, I hope that you feel relaxed, present, and free to be yourselves.
The Image Reveal
Your image reveal is the next chapter.
It may take place the same day or about one to two weeks later. In this private viewing, you’ll see your story reflected to you and select the images you want to keep, print, and cherish.
These photographs are not meant to document what you look like simply; they are meant to hold what this season of your life feels like.
A Fine Art Approach to Storytelling
For those who feel drawn to something more interpretive, your images can also become the starting point for fine art pieces, including paintings and sketches inspired by your session.
This allows your story to live not only as photographs, but also as expressive artwork created in my fine art studio.
