I got to spend some time with the lovely Victoria the day before Thanksgiving. She is a sweet person with a depth to her soul that I tried to capture. When I came home, instead of jumping into making pies, I decided to run through the photos and put some online for her. She is someone that I am thankful for. Why? She works hard as an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) in Harris County. There is a special place in my heart for medical people, as well as any profession where we are protected, rescued, nurtured, or taught. These are the real heroes! The bonus for us as a society is that she loves her job!
“Sitting here thinking about my life and all I’ve been through, I have so much to be thankful for….. I’m thankful for my job; I am so glad I was informed about the EMT program through my senior year because it’s the best decision I’ve made then..I love my job. Last and not least, I’m thankful for being able to go to college and get an opportunity in something I want to do in my lifetime, which is hopefully one day counsel broken families and bring them back together as a therapist. Happy Thanksgiving y’all!”
Happy Thanksgiving and thank you Victoria for being you!
